Spam Spam Spam Spam

Aww seems like the idiot spammers have been active again. Really makes you wonder why they bother since they don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting their comments approved so no one will ever see them or be abe to link to them EVER.

Happy Blog Day 2007

Long time no blogging. I know, I know, where have I been and what exciting things have I been doing? Well the answer is sadly not that exciting lol. I have been on vacation but just at home, well mostly, and then I had a little accident in the home and ended up with concussion for the last week.

I got some catching up to do once I can stand to look at a computer screen for more than 5 minutes but I was feeling guilty since I found out it was Blog Day today, so I felt I should at least manage something.

Happy Blog Day bloggers!

Here’s what to do:

BlogDay posting instructions:

  1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
  2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending them as part of BlogDay 2007
  3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a link to the recommended Blogs
  4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
  5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link:
http://technorati.com/tag/BlogDay2007 and a link to the BlogDay web site at http://www.blogday.org

We have three really different books featuring this month in the Book Addicts Book Group.

Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - JK Rowling

The Princess Bride - William Goldman

I am committed to reading two of them, the last two on the list. Though at the moment reading is a bit of a struggle until I recover :(

Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows I have already read as Amazon.co.uk very kindly delivered it to me on publication day greatly discounted and with free postage! lol And I had to read it immediately. Then it went on holiday to Spain with my sister :) But I will read it again because a. it’s good and b. SG is hosting and she is our resident HP guru.

The Princess Bride I somehow have never got around to reading before. I don’t know why, maybe because I have seen the film a few times and am often looking for something ‘new’ to read. That’s what I like about the Book Group, you get the opportunity to read and discussion something that maybe you’ve always been meaning to read but somehow haven’t. (Oh yes and we had a posting contest for August and the prize was a copy of this book, which went to KS.)

Gone with the Wind is one of my mum’s favourite films of all time and she has a couple of copies of the book too, but I’m gonna have to pass on this one this time around as I just have too much on my plate at the moment.

Coming up in October…

Tequila!

I found this site all about Tequila. I am partial to a good margarita but haven’t had any of the stuff for some time now.

My main problem with tequila is that I get a headache while I’m still drinking it which is a little like a premature hangover and one of the main reasons why I avoid the stuff. That and the fact that I have given up alcohol along with many other things.

Anyway, did you know there are over 700 different tequilas? I didn’t, and that is pretty impressive. This site  will give you all you ever need to know about tequila. There are also many recipes for tequila and a listing of some restaurants that specialise in offering good quality tequila.

Have fun!
