Well this is what I was working on last night and a bit of today.  It wasn’t fun, it was very fiddly and I’m not sure I want to do it again.  However I do have three of the little suckers to do /fail  

It may be small but you can still pack quite a few things in. It’s made of cotton fabric which is padded and the lining is black cotton. The frame is silver coloured and opens like a fish mouth, see nice and wide so you can find your lip gloss. It actually looks quite pretty in a dinky sort of way but it was the purse from hell to get done last night or maybe I was just tired having been up since 5.45am.  Now that I’m finished, having both slept and eaten and posted about it, I am considering making another one.  Good grief what’s wrong with me.

Actually I decided to start knitting a teddy for a change of pace inbetween the bag making, washing-up, studying, fabric cutting etc.  That has been a lot more restful so far.  *sigh*

This wins the prize for being the funniest thing I’ve seen today (and possibly longer).  I posted a few days ago about the Statue of Library cat hat but I didnt get around to checking out the rest of them.  This is the “International Cat Hat for Japan” – it’s a ninja cat.  It’s hysterical and I may have to make three just so I can force them on the cat’s head and take photos.  *brainwave* hey it will stop Dr Evil Kitty from biting me!  Result!

I had some success on ebay today.  I generally don’t like to bid, I prefer to buy things that have a “buy now” price, mainly because I don’t have time to fart around with bidding and because I want it now!  However, I did place some bids last night (during the whole bleeding eye incident) to distract me from the whole bleeding eye incident, and today I was successful.  Yes I bought more fabric.  I was in a fabric frenzy so I can’t remember what I actually bought lol.  *racks brain*  Oh yes, some organza (a bugger to sew), some black stretch lace (have plans for that!) and some kimono silk.  I got pipped at the post for some tartan fabric but then I got a second chance offer from the seller so I’m mulling that over.  More kimono silk later tonight, hope I get that one as I love the colours.  Then I bought some yarn that I needed to complete some presents and now I think it’s time for tea.

Of course I should be studying today and that’s not been going very well.

Knitted blouse

yes I know I was supposed to be switching this beast off but I go distracted.  I also like this other little vest thing that I’ve just obtained a free pattern for, and I’m sorely tempted… like I have the time for more projects. Geez I just can’t help myself!

I have some news of a knitting kind.  One of my friends has opened her new Yarn Shop, appropriately called Two Dogs Yarn Shop.   <—- click here to go check it out.  As you can appreciate it’s quite a big undertaking to set up on online shop and get all the inventory online complete with photos, so this will grow as time goes on.
