Day 19 – Complementary Colors #birgitkoopsengelprintingchallenge Love this cat stencil from Stamperia and it’s quite big so I decided to use it for this prompt with the lovely orange #distressoxide print. The turquoise colour looks great against the orange.
In the beginning…
I made the background using these Distress Oxide ink pads – spiced marmalade, wild honey, rusty hinge, and pulled the print. I love the texture you get when using Oxides on the gel plate.
I decided to use this big cat stencil by Stamperia because Life is Better with Cats so why not! Here’s what it looks like with the stencil on the plate.
And here’s what it looks like after the stencil is removed. All that needs to be done now is apply the orange background to the plate, press well, and pull the print.
I did this print for Day 19 which was for Complementary Colors but it obviously works for Day 9 Stencils too!
