Hi Crafty Friends

Hard to believe really that postcards have been around for 150 years but this year marks the 150th anniversary of the postcard. You can read more about it here on 150 Years of Postcards #150yearsofpostcards

“And none will hear the postman’s knock
Without a quickening of the heart.
For who can bear to feel himself forgotten?”

~W. H. Auden

World Post day happens each year on October 9, the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union, which started in 1874 in Switzerland. The UPU was the start of the global communications revolution, introducing the ability to write to others all over the world. World Post Day started in 1969.

Here’s another one I made at the same time, but with a less “seaside postcard” feel to it!  These are all made with watercolour paper and Rubber Dance stamps and a lot of tea staining!

Why not join in the fun and send some postcards of your own?  Snail mail forever!
