Happy Sunday!  It’s the last day of January and I am happy to have finished another Wanderlust lesson which was actually the right lesson for this week!  I still have two other lessons I am working on but this one came together quite quickly so I decided to get it done while I was waiting for other things to dry etc.Today is the start of the #100dayproject so my next post is all about Day 1 which I will link to later.

As this is a class lesson, there is no tutorial, just a starting out photo and a lot of photos of the finished page.  This is my inspiration photo, the woman with all the bags, so I decided to use her for my focal point.

A few more layers and a couple of hours later… and here is the finished page:

There’s quite a few bits of washi tape on this page, mostly green, but also these lovely gold washi tape stickers that I bought myself for Christmas.

Of course trying to get them to show up and shine when you want them to can be tricky, here’s a closer look at them.

A close up of some of the texture – this was a piece of kitchen paper I had wiped some green acrylic ink on to clean a brush, but then liked the colour so much I kept it to use in something.
Some of the green washi tape in the middle of the page

And the page title made from some stickers and outlined with a black stabilo
So now I have three pages completed for Wanderlust and one in progress and one not yet started.  I’m quite happy with that progress for January and I’m not feeling overwhelmed or that I’m “behind”. Hope you like the page, let me know what you think in the comments.  Oh btw, this is the last day to get your projects in for MTW January Challenges.  I mention this as the Main Challenge is all about washi tape!  As always, thanks for reading!

Whatever you did with the girl she looks great. I like how she is not spreading out her arm as she was in the photo. And the gold washi tape stickers really pop and add some wonderful elegance to the page. Beautiful work Elle. Thanks again for joining us at Art Journal Journey. It’s been much appreciated. Hugs-Erika
