Hello again, and I have another little batch of book cover ATCs to share with you all because it’s World Book Day/Night today! Yay! It doesn’t seem so long ago that the World Book Night people used to give out batches of free books to hand out locally to encourage people to read. I did that for several years and it was great as you got to choose your favourite book from the ones on offer, and then your box of World Book Night editions would arrive at the local bookshop for you to collect, and then I got to give free books out to random people and tell them how wonderful the book was and how much they would enjoy it. How things have changed. That won’t be happening anywhere this year (or last year) but there are still ways to get involved, just check the website.
So in honour of World Book Day/Night I have I have five new ATC Book Covers to show you, all from favourite books, and I’m really quite excited about how they turned out. It goes without saying that I am behind. I got an email a few days ago announcing that we had reached Day 80 but I have not reached Day 80 yet because life. These books are all in my favourite book-to-movie list, but I’m also counting Wicked in this list, even though I saw it on Broadway and not as a movie. Is there a movie version of the stage show? Hmmm, probably is by now! I also managed to remember to take a process photo for each one so I have those photos to show you too. To have a closer look at any of them just click the little images to see bigger versions. Here we go!

#The100dayproject – Day 71-75 Book-to-Movie WIP
So why ATCs and why these books? Well in order to make it easier on myself and therefore make it more likely that I could do all 100 days, I thought ATCs would be perfect. Then I thought of book quotes handwriting them, perfect way to practice my lettering and also indulge my love of books. So what books? The first 25 books are all books with elements of magic in them (fantasy, supernatural, urban fantasy, vampires, witches, werewolves etc) and then I changed to modern fiction and so on but now with only 30 books left I have some difficult choices to make! As with the first 25 books, all books must be taken from my shelves and be actual physical books, no ebooks, no audiobooks! I have also started taking elements from the book covers and incorporating them in the ATCs so they are starting to look like mini book covers and we’ve been playing “name that book” in our book group lol. I think this are so cute, Im pretty sure I have read them all. Im still confused over ATCs and what they are, what they are for. Are they purely just another form of art? I need to understand them before I try them I think lol x
Love, love, love these! The Time Traveler’s Wife is my favorite but they are all amazing!
