Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Hope you are well and having a good start to the week. We have been having some dry, sunny weather finally – still very cold, freezing temperatures overnight but then warmer and sunny during the day. I am still doing everything one-handed so consequently I am not doing very much very fast! Today there are men on the roof doing some repairs after the storms we had last month so it’s a bit noisy with all the banging etc. Oh and also our clocks changed at the weekend. It’s always the last Sunday in March but I forgot it was the last Sunday so there was some confusion on Sunday morning. I actually never change my clocks in the house or the car. Anything with a computer chip changes automatically so then I just adjust to having two time zones inside my house – rooms with computers in one time zone and rooms with analog clocks in another lol.
today’s art . . .
…is again missing, but I am a Guest Designer over on another site next month so I did make something one-handed but you won’t see it till next week!
decluttering. . .
…I took a car full of perfectly usable items to the tip last week and it hurt me very much to just toss them away but no one else wanted them and I couldn’t keep keeping them in my house/garden/shed forever or it would start to look like a tip itself. So they had to go, and I am sad to say that this might be the case with a lot of the perfectly good items that I need to get rid of but that no one else wants, but what else can I do?
garden. . .
The weather is finally like Spring so I spent some time in the garden preparing for planting.
I plant my potatoes in these bags. This year I have Epicure which is generally the variety used in this area for new potatoes, which will be ready about June. I also planted a new to me variety called Caledonian Rose which is a main crop potato and will be ready later on in the summer.
This raised bed is my strawberry patch. I’m really hoping for a good crop this year as last year we had strawberries coming out our ears!
This bed is full of tulip bulbs, you can just see them starting to poke their heads out of the soil. They will probably be flowering around May.
This was a birthday present from my friend – a little container of Primulas.

Here is a rare occurrence – Mr G and Miss Lily sharing a bed! The sun was streaming through the window and I’m pretty sure Mr G just wanted her to move out of the way, but she refused so they are both squished into the same bed when, as you can see, there is another identical bed right next to them!
As it was nice weather at the weekend, Miss Lily went on an adventure…
This was the first time she had been out in her new harness. She was enjoying the sunshine and sniffing all the new and different smells but then something spooked her and she ran for the door.

My breakfast this morning was avocado on toast with a cup of Chamomile and Vanilla tea in this Avo Great Day mug!
Happy T Day! As always, thanks for reading, and have a great week!

Love your garden and your kitty pictures. They look so fun! Makes me miss mine. Still impressed you are continuing with your decluttering! So wish you could come visit and help me! Can’t wait to see your artwork! Stay safe. Happy T day (late but still heartfelt). Hugz
One of my favorite breakfasts is avocado, toast & poached egg. So yummy! Your kitties are so adorable. I bet they don’t like the harness. 🙂 Happy T day.
Your breakfast toast and tea sound delicious! You have inspired me to declutter so that is what we have been doing for the last month. I have bags and bags of things that are perfectly good too but we will probably just end up trashing it all.
Your garden looks fabulous. Strawberries coming out of ones ears sound great! One can never have too many strawberries. Looking forward to seeing how many you get.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Yummy, I love avocadoes!
Since the start of the pandemic I have put a “free” box in front of our house with stuff I want to get rid of, but can’t donate. I was surprised how much was being taken – almost everything. Perhaps you can give this a try?
Himself is going to try to grow potatoes this year. He bought his seed potatoes the other day. Kitties like kids don’t always want to share. Miss Lily looks quite fetching in her new harness. Your avo great day mug is cute and made me smile. I love puns. Happy T Day
So nice to see you have garden weather. Love the looks of that sandwich too. Have a nice day.
Oh that breakfast looks really yummy. I had never thought avocado could be eaten for breakfast. So there’s another good idea. Thanks.
Great photo of your kitties together. Miss Lily looks great in her harness. Is there a particular reason she is having to wear a harness?
Primulas, what beauties!
I love seeing what you planted. Please keep us informed on how everything grows.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
It’s a shame the Goodwill-type stores won’t take them 🙁 It seems so wasteful, but like you said.. what else can you do? 🙁 The avocado on toast looks good. You’ve given me an idea for lunch 🙂 Happy T Tuesday!
Hi Elle, you have had a busy week! Lovely to see the kitties sunbathing an dout for a walk! Avo great day – that hurts, but it made me smile. Happy T day, hugs, Valerie
It IS sad when you have perfectly good items but have no where to donate them….
Your garden beds are looking really good.
What a sweet pic of your kitties together:) And your primulas are so pretty- you should paint them;) Now I want avocado toast too. Happy T day!
