Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!

Hope you are well and having a good start to the week. End of school holidays so of course the weather suddenly improves lol.

today’s art . . .

I have two things to share today – quite a productive arty week considering how little I have been able to do lately.  First up is my tag for More Than Words DT inspiration.

And the second are some Spring inspired tags I made at the weekend.

decluttering. . .

*This* is the sum total of all the craft supplies I hoped to donate.  As you can see it is totally blocking the bookcases – there are 5 Billy bookcases behind all of that. I had dragged all of it downstairs expecting that it would only be there long enough for me to sort through it and donate it, but that was February, and now we are halfway through April and it is still sitting there making me feel bad every time I walk in the room – it feels so overwhelming and I am no closer to finding somewhere to donate to. Meantime I just can’t live like this looming over everything and causing chaos in this room any longer so I had to do something drastic!  (*Miss Lily cat cameo in the after photo*)
EDIT by the way this is supposed to be the dining room not a craft storage room!

So what to do?  At the weekend, I’d finally had enough so I decided to hide it behind the bookcases!  But in order to have access to it without having to move all the books every time, I moved all the bookcases to the opposite side of the room where there is a door.  So first I moved all the storage boxes, then I moved the bookcases in front of them, and then moved everything that had been on that side of the room to where the bookcases used to be and just like magic, it’s all disappeared!  I actually moved every single piece of furniture in this room including the bookcases, the expedits, cat tree, dining table, chairs, and the desk and PC. Because there is a door on this side of the room, I now have secret storage like a long narrow cupboard but still accessible.  I made a list of all the contents of all the tubs and the location of each in the stacks so that if I do need something, then I will know the location.
The kitties had a great time getting into all the “new” spaces and sniffing everything they hadn’t sniffed before or for a long time.  Where Mr G is lying in this photo is now full of stacks of storage boxes hidden secretly behind a row of bookcases with one of these brown doors in front of it.  I’m so pleased to be able to see my books again!

t stands for  . . .

Tea stands for Hot Cross Buns.  Traditionally an Easter bun, Hot Cross buns are now sold all year long as they are so popular – a bit like Cadbury creme eggs that are also sold all year round.  I love hot cross buns but I only had two of them and not all three as shown in the photo lol.  My tea this time is called Cream Earl Grey (smooth creamy taste with vanilla overtones) and it is quite delicious.

Tea profile:

ORIGIN:
Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula or Uva (Sri Lanka). Grown: 4000 – 8000ft above sea level
CAFFEINE:
Approx between 27- 35mg per cup
LEAVES:
Orthodox Orange Pekoe (OP)
AROMA:
Earl Grey bergamot with vanilla overtones
COLOUR:
Bright and Coppery
TASTE:
Creamy and mellow Earl Grey taste and superb finish
WELL BEING:
Comforting

Happy T Day!   As always, thanks for reading, and have a great week!

The spring tags are cute and lovely. Wow, you were busy “hiding” the boxes of craft supplies – you really have a lot. I gave away a lot of my art supplies as well, but it never came even close to yours. I’m really impressed. Love your cat lying before the shelf.

Your tags are all beautiful. And aren’t you smart rearranging to hide the storage tubs? I bet those cats love that new tunnel space. I spy your candle that you fixed. 🙂 Happy T Day.

Hi from my road trip, now in Tucson, Arizona, and enjoying the scenery. I’m afraid I can’t do detailed comments as there’s just too much to do!

Wow, you have SO many craft items! I can imagine it will be a relief to have your dining room space back.
I have always wanted to try hot cross buns. Someday I will eventually get around to making them. And the Cadbury creme eggs are a weakness of mine. Somehow I made it through Easter and didn’t eat or buy a single one.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Such beautiful tags! I love your amazing designs and how the die cuts fall over the edge of the tags – perfect ?. Wow, your craft area is fabulous, I love the riot of colours on those book shelves and so nice to see your kitty cat relaxing after all the exploring. What could be better than a hot cross bun, we’ve been enjoying them this week too with our cuppa! Vanilla sounds like a lovely flavour to add to your tea too – Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x

What really lovely tags Elle! Truly delightful images. I don’t know how you moved those book shelves by yourself- not something I could do…
love seeing the kitties enjoying some new spaces to explore and rest in:)
That tea sounds delicious, and yes hot cross buns are prevalent in the bakeries especially this time of year. I make Easter babkas every year which are similar in taste. Have a great week, and happy T day!
