Hello friends!
I’m back again with the Junk Journal July Day 5 prompt – Foldout!
If you want to play along, here are the prompts:
Today’s prompt is for a foldout and if I had thought about it when I was making my journal I could have made one at the time but I was so focused on making the journal that I forgot. So I had to add one in, which is easy enough, just adding an extra piece of the same amazon packaging as before. Here’s a look at the piece I used – I like that it has the return instructions on it and a “close here”.
Underneath I started sketching a face so that half of it would be hidden by the foldout.
I went over it with some polychromos.
Before painting it with white acrylic as a base for the watercolour.
I did all the painting while my camera was downstairs and I was too lazy to get it, so let’s fast forward to the finished page lol
Here it is with the foldout closed so you only see half of her face.
Then when you open up the foldout you see her whole face, and I see she has a wonky eye but I didn’t see it at the time, so I will fix it later.
Close up of her wonky eye, I mean, face.
I painted her hair with purple and magenta watercolours (QOR) and then splattered some gold acrylic ink on top. No idea why that pen is there since I didn’t use it on this page.
Since this is a single page, here’s how it looks next to its neighbouring page. One reason her hair is purple is to tie it to yesterday’s page but only one reason – I just like purple hair!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
