Hello friends!

I forgot that I was supposed to be posting these daily so I started posting them every two days to show off the two-day spread instead.  Today is the last day of July and therefore the last day of the challenge.  So I have my final two pages to share with you today.   If you want to play along well you’re too late, but you can see the prompts at the end of this post.

Day 30 & 31 – Favourite Quote and Farewell
My favourite quote for this page is one of my favourite Mary Oliver quotes serves as a good reminder to live your best life!

The page consists of some old gel prints, a promo leaflet for a craft fair that is no more, some teabag paper and this little bird print out that’s been lying in the bottom of a basket for ages and deserved to be used.

The second page of this double page spread, and the final page for this month-long challenge, is this one:
This also has old unused (till now!) gel prints, a scrap of distress inked paper, and since I had feather gel prints, I remembered this gel print which also has a quote on it.  I printed it as one piece but then ripped it up for this page so I could fit it in down the side and not cover up the feathers.

So now both pages have a common theme of birds across them which makes me happier than having totally unrelated pages.  I really enjoyed this challenge, and being able to keep up with it daily, along with the ICAD challenge, and although my journal may not be as junky as some, my intention was to use up stuff that I’d had lying around in my stash for quite a while, and not buy anything.  So I managed to achieve that as well as making my journal completely out of amazon packaging. It’s not the first journal I’ve made this way and I really like making them, plus using up all the free packaging that would otherwise end up in the recycling.  The Junk Journal challenge is held in July and January, so hopefully if I am not too busy in January, I will be able to play along again.

Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
