Hi Friends,

Happy new week!  It’s been a stressful couple of weeks with the kitties and I have not been able to do much journaling or much of anything really.  Both kittens were vomiting (and the other end too!) so a lot of cleaning up, and several vet visits.  Mr G seems to have settled down but Miss Lily is still not very well and may have to go back again tomorrow.  I had so many collage pages planned and started for this month and have not managed to finish many at all.  But here is one of them that I was able to finish quickly today…

Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is something I put together using lots of leftovers.  It’s a little gallery of collage.

My collage started off like this before I cut it up.
I chose the bits I thought looked nice and cut them out into three inch squares and stuck them in my journal.

It looked OK like this but ultimately I planned to paint it black so I did that with some black gesso.  Then for more interest, I drew some little frames around them so that it looked like a gallery.

This was of course made for Bleubeard and Elizabeth on Art Journal Journey this month.

Now I must get back to clean up and medications!  Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading!

That original collage background is amazing, and when you cut it up and used it against the black, it is even better. You may been preoccupied but you still created such a great page. What a beautiful ode to autumn. I hope all is well with those kitties by now. Sorry to hear they’ve been ill; it’s always stressful when animals are sick because you have to do so much second guessing. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ for Bleubeard’s and Elizabeth’s challenge. hugs-Erika
