Happy Tuesday Friends!
Hope you are having a good week. I am pleased to say that I have completely caught up with Wanderlust and even managed to watch and do the latest lesson on the day that it was released! I also finished watching His Dark Materials TV show and it was a complete dud. Wish I hadn’t bothered, really, but I was determined to see it through to the bitter end lol. Now for lack of anything else to watch, I am rewatching Traveler’s on Netflix. Another brilliant show they cancelled before its time. I had company for watching Wanderlust…
Miss Lily does love a bit of art TV, when Wanderlust started, she pushed in and got a front row seat, so I had to watch the rest of the class with her head blocking the screen lol.
Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is the page I made over the weekend for Wanderlust Week 7 lesson with Rae Missigman and the final class for the pastels theme.
Since there are so many shades of pink (diluted red) I am also linking this page to Erika’s theme over on Art Journal Journey for Seeing Red. And here’s a close up look at the page via a short Instagram reel.

Currently Reading . . .
I’m currently reading this book by Irish author Caimh McDonnell. A friend recommended them to me as being very very funny, and she’s not wrong! They are hilarious. In between that and the Jane Harper book I mentioned last week, I read three books in a series by Geoffrey McGeachin which I also recommend. They are set in Australia in 1947, 1957 and 1967 and the main character is Charlie Berlin, a police officer, former WWII pilot and POW. They are interesting for many reasons, the plot, the setting, the case etc but also because of the experiences that shape who Charlie is now at the time of the book, plus an interesting look into post-war Australian life. And as I said before, these are all audiobooks which I listen to when I am not using my ears for anything else = multitasking!

T Stands for . . .
Turmeric milk. I’ve been enjoying this at night as a change from hot chocolate. It’s very tasty and not as sweet. I use turmeric powder since I never see turmeric root around here, and add some cinnamon, ginger and cardamom to the almond milk base, with a little agave to sweeten. Yum yum! I might be sleeping better too. EDIT: I use 2 cups almond milk, 1 cup coconut milk (tinned), 1.5 tsp turmeric powder, 0.5 tsp cinnamon, 0.5 tsp ginger, 1 tsp cardamom, agave syrup to taste. This makes 2x servings.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading and Happy T Day!

Altered Book Lover – T Stands for
Your artwork is wonderful. The Turmeric milk sounds good except for the turmeric. I am not sure I like that but I like the rest of the ingredients. Happy T Day.
Awww, how cute of have Miss Lily as a classmate. Lovely flowers and an adorable cup. Happy T Day
What´s a grog shop? I had a mulled wine against the cold… Yes, bogie… why do you know what a bogie is?
I am loving your artwork for Wanderlust! A beautiful piece that would look great framed. I have never had turmeric milk, but I have a recipe for it. I am worried about it staining my teeth, haha. I have never seen the root here either so I would have to opt for turmeric powder.
Again, I am amazed at how many books you read.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Cutest company for watching you have!
Wonderful art oh, and that cup!!!! And the content! Sounds very healthy and yummy!
Though. I had some almond milk that had to go down the drain, it was mega-super-sweet… brrr…
But yay to good sleep, happy T-Day!
I laughed at how you had to watch the Wanderlust episode with Miss Lily’s head in your way. Squiggles is also fascinated by the TV and is often in my way. He seems most interested in the chase or fighting scenes, since we don’t really watch craft shows that much, except on daytime PBS when he’s sleeping. Bleubeard has never shown an interest in TV.
Your last pastel is gorgeous and SO shiny, I am amazed and in awe. It is a stunning spread. It also goes nicely with Erika’s theme at AJJ.
I’ve never used turmeric in food or a drink, but use it to dye fabric. I am impressed that you use it to prepare you for bed at night. That sounds like a great recipe. I have everything except the two milks which I can buy at Aldi, and the agave syrup, which I have no idea where to find it. Thanks for sharing your books on tape, your lovely pastel spread, and your turmeric drink and recipe you gave us for T this Tuesday, dear Elle.
I’m unfamiliar with Wanderlust and Traveler’s. I’ll have to look into them. Thanks for the suggestion. Happy T Tuesday!
I’m glad you allowed your Kitty a seat in the front row! Good for you for catching up with your crqafing, I am behind with everything just now. Happy T day, Valerie Hugs!
Good morning, I am loving your art! so pretty, and how fun to share the class with kitty-love that.
Your turmeric milk sounds delicious I may try it Happy T and new week
Kathy
A lovely post for sure. Your art is so pretty. However, it’s the Turmeric Milk that got me. Turmeric is one of the herbs I use for lupus and this would be perfect before bed. Thanks for the idea and recipe.
