Hello Friends,
Today marks the start of this year’s #100dayproject and so I have a very quick post just to kick off the right way instead of lagging behind as per usual. This year it will run from today, 22nd Feb until 1st June. I don’t anticipate posting one a day on my blog, I’m thinking more of a weekly catch-up, but I will be attempting to post every day on Instagram since it is primarily an Instagram challenge.
today’s art . . .
Today’s art is this ATC which is number 1/100 for #the100dayproject. It’s funny how things turn out as I fully intended to do this year’s projects in a book but instead I have opted for ATCs.
So this year I am sticking with ATCs again like the previous two years, and I am using fabric again like last year but I won’t be using Harris Tweed this time, at least I don’t expect to be using it. I will mostly be using quilting cottons from my collection of neglected fabrics. The ATCs are made from amazon boxes, the fabric is stitched on, and then I am drawing cats on top and finishing off with a word or two. Other things might happen along the way, but I wanted something that was small enough to be done every day without too much stress. I think this is it.
The first one is one of my signature black cats, on a base of this gorgeous acid yellow batik cotton. I love this fabric, I really need to do something with it apart from store it in a cupboard. What do you think of it?
Let me know what you think in the comments and as always, thanks for reading!

Challenges
I am glad I decided not to do the 100 days project this year because just as soon as it’s completed, I’d have to start my ICADs through July 31.
That is a lovely batik. I love the complimentary colors and I love how batik is usually the same on both sides.
Elle, this is just too darn cute. Thank you for sharing it. Have a wonderful day today.
Never heard of 100 day project.
Coffee is on and stay safe
wow that is a long challenge-I love your first one
