I have been trying to catch up with Stranger Things season 4 and as I was watching at the weekend I spotted something interesting and took a screen grab…
Do you see the Earth Day poster on the notice board? This season is set in March 1986 by the way.

Today’s art is this page that I made as an entry for AJJ where the theme is recycling – see link at bottom of post.
The inspiration for this page was the box that these yoga cat magnets came in. It was too nice to throw away!
I covered my page with blue and purple acrylic inks and added some fabric scraps on top and underneath the opening on the box.
I made an attempt to draw one of the yoga cats on a larger scale on the facing page.
Oh and while we are on the subject of cats, I finished painting my phone case! Last time, it looked like this…

Oh wow. Impressive recycling, Elle. I love how you used the recycled container and paired it with fabric scraps. Of course, I love your cat drawing, too. This is a wonderful entry and perfect for Bleubeard’s and my theme at Art Journal Journey.
I really like the cat yoga recycled page. Those look like fun magnets, and the box does work so well on your page. I really like how you added a bit of fabric including the selvage edge too. And wow, you phone case looks amazing. How fun! I bet it will look great on your phone. And I really like Stranger Things. I should rewatch some of them-thanks for the inspiration.
