Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday!
I swear I am not keeping very good track of the days at the moment. There is a lot going on and I am trying to keep on top of it all. I thought I had an appointment tonight but turns out to be tomorrow night. I’m glad about that as I’m way too tired to go out tonight, let’s hope I feel more lively tomorrow. The on-going problem with my eyes is making things even more difficult as I have to limit screen time, reading time and anything that involved close-sighted work! What’s left, I ask you?
Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is of course a page for my theme on Art Journal Journey for this month – Books, Cats and Tea, which are three of my very favourite things.
This page is supposed to be based on my own three cats, though all of mine are black or black/white and definitely not grey, but I was using Neocolours and water and the black got a bit diluted. I don’t know why they are all looking at me with such grumpy faces – I must have forgotten the cat treats again! Bad human!
And since they were looking so cross, I wrote across the page “we are not amused” because that sums it up perfectly lol. I really must do better with the cat treats, speaking of which I believe they are giving me that same look right now!
T Stands For . . .
Hello lovely tea people, I’m sorry I haven’t been around but I have limited screen time (see comment above about my eyes) but I am attempting to get back in the swing of things. I thought the arthritis was bad enough but now this on top! Just bear with me as it will take me forever to get around all the blogs and comment since I can’t do it all at once like I normally would. I have two photos to share this week, first the entry to Tea…
My black decaf coffee in my favourite kitty mug and a very large strawberry tart.
The second is one of the mutant carrots that are growing in my garden. My soil has too many obstacles for carrots to be happy growing, and every time they come across a small stone or something, they send out another root. This giant mutant carrot has 8 roots on it! If I grow them again next year it will be in pots and sandy soil! But meanwhile I am harvesting these beasts – they taste good, just look weird – I juiced this one! I can’t really count it for T as I forgot to take a photo of the juice.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!

T Stands for – Coffee and strawberry tart
Your kitty page made me smile even if the kitties aren’t amused. I’ll take the strawberry tart over the carrots. The mutant carrot does look quite awesome. Happy T Day
Thanks for a great challenge Elle, I know how much you love your furry friends. I miss having a cat about the house but circumstances mean I can’t any more.
Love your page with the three cats, I love pink and grey together so it was a happy accident, or was it?
Hugs, Neet xx
Nothing like nice hot cup of tea.
Stay safe.
Hi Elle, first I love the mutant carrots. They taste just as good. LOL The coffee and your treat look so yummy and those cats would be perrrrfect for Friday Face OFF. Have a nice evening.
Love the kitties… and their expressions. Verrrrry cat-ish!
EnJOY your garden!
So sorry about your eyes, Elle.
Your kitty page is super fun. They do look unamused but then cats kind of look that way even when amused…and sometimes they seem to actually be amused by looking unamused….
What a cool looking carrot. Fab looking coffee and dessert too.
Loving your kitty, books and tea theme. Another few ideas are brewing in my head….
Happy T-day and hugz
I’m sorry to hear of your eye problems and arthritis Elle, hope they settle down soon.
I love your cats, they do look a bit judgmental! Lol!
Love the mutant carrot too.
Take care,
Alison
Oh I like your grumpy cats-smile. I think the grey looks good. It is hard to get details on black I find-obviously, it’s black. Your strawberry tarts looks quite yummy. I hope you get some energy and all the health issues get better soon. And I hope you had a happy T day. hugs-Erika
That tart looks amazing!
Sorry to hear about your eye issues…screens can be so damaging.
That carrot looks great! The wonkier the better.
Loving your cats journal page.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Your bizarre carrot is impressive. I wonder if you could intentionally force them to grow in specific shapes with faces or bodies or some weird stuff.
