Hi Friends!
Happy new week! We have rain and colder temps. Miss P is more hesitant about visiting the garden or in fact getting out of bed before 10 o’clock so that’s a clear since that the seasons are changing. Time for more indoor pursuits!
Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is another page for my theme on Art Journal Journey for this month – Books, Cats and Tea, which are three of my very favourite things.
This is another page that I made using an old card from 2019 based around the theme of tea. The card was made with tea stained watercolour paper and you can see it glued down on my page on the right side. It has a white teabag with tea tags still attached, and a couple of fine china teacups. I really like this stamp and I had forgotten all about it – I must hunt it down and use it more often!
The background of my page was made using paper from the bottom of the takeaway container from that lovely bakery cafe I went to last week. I washed the cake crumbs off the paper, dried it, and glued it down on to the page.
I added some white and blue ink splatters to match the colour of the teacups or close as I could manage. Then I added this lovely kitty from a bag of cat food. It’s one of my favourite and I only have a few left since we changed cat food brands a while back.
The card has a die cut heat embossed black frame on it, so to mirror that I drew a simple frame around the left page with a black marker.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!

Art Journal Journey – Books, Cats and Tea
What a brilliant way to use your old cards. Also lovely to have that bakery packaging for your background. This is truly fun. I also LOVE that cat from the cat food container. I am so in awe of your recycling. Thanks for another great AJJ entry using your theme, dear.
Great idea page with recycled paper!Very nice!

I like how you recycled that tissue paper. It looks great with that big kitty. And adding the card style image on the right really finished the page. That’s a great die cut frame by the way. And those tea cups came out looking like fine china. This is another great page for your challenge. Happy new week, and I hope it’s dryer than my week is starting off. 🙂 hugs-Erika
