Happy New Month!
March is one of my favourite months here as there are signs that Spring is not far away, even though it was -2C last night, and we have some family birthdays this month, including mine, so that’s always nice to get to spend time with the family for happy occasions. This week has not been the best though, due to this current injury of mine. Had my first physio appointment and was told it will take more 12 weeks to heal. I’m over it already, it’s very painful, stiff, unstable and awkward to get around on crutches and I can’t drive. I’m frustrated due to my limited mobility. Really hoping I can knock that 12 weeks down to something more reasonable. Anyway, it’s affecting how much I can get done on every level, not least my art time. Trying to avoid the stairs as much as possible and can’t bend my leg to sit at a table, but having said that, I did manage to get a couple of things completed this week, including this page, my final #seekgathercreate page, and #the100dayproject catch-up. In case you missed them Days 1-8 can be seen in last Tuesday’s Tea post, and Days 9-12 can be seen in this #seekgathecreate post.
As it is the very first day of the month, I am excited to share my DT inspiration project for March at More Than Words with you.
This month’s challenge was a fun one as we got to do a lot of mark-making and think about our own personal signs and symbols. This is a page in my junk journal made from recycled packing paper. I made a pocket using some patterned paper and then started to make some marks. As I was doing this, I realised that of course, I would have to include a kitty as my own personal symbol as they appear so often in my art, either accidentally or on purpose. I used a Carabelle Studios stamp for the cat face and stamped it on my page and onto the two tags I made to put in the pocket. I covered everything else with marks made by hand or by using some of Tracy Scott’s mark-making stamps. The page background and the pocket are glazed with blue acrylic inks. When I left this to dry overnight I didn’t like it at all, but the next day when I finished the mark-making I was happier with it. 🙂
I am also linking this page to this month’s “On all fours” theme over on Art Journal Journey, hosted by Chris from Pearshapedcrafting, as my page contains kitties!
Miss Lily was ecstatic when she found me standing in the art room trying to do some stamping standing up! She didn’t care that I couldn’t sit down, she made sure to get into her favourite position on her blanket so she could supervise!
I hope you can join us this month. Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!Ingredients

Art Journal Journey – On all fours – March theme
My internet has created a glitch, so I am running late visiting. I was delighted to see this first entry you shared with us at AJJ. I adore the kitties and the tags. They are so cleverly created, too. I even enjoyed seeing Miss Lily and her favorite spot in your art room. Thanks for sharing this using Chris’s theme.
BTW, I went to your T post to ask you a question and don’t see the post I left there. Please let me know you got it and you just haven/t posted/published it yet.
This challenge was made for you perfect for you to show Miss Lily to her adoring public and this week’s rendition is lovely. I like how you made a pocket for the tags to be inserted and that blue is such a lovely strong colour.
My birthday is this month also, what date is yours? This year it is a big one for me and ordinarily we would be celebrating maybe by a holiday but as I can’t we have decided to postpone it and like royalty I will have to have an official birthday this year.

I’m glad you were able to make Miss Lily happy, even if you had to stand. I’m sure ( even if you weren’t comfortable) that it felt good to make some art. That is a great Carabelle kitty stamp face.I hope you can shortened the 12 weeks also. That’s a long time to be uncomfortable, but getting physio must help. Stay tough Elle. And thanks for linking up to AJJ for Chris’c challenge also. hugs-Erika

This really is a fabulous junk journal page Elle! The tag pocket and the tags is such a great idea! Glad Miss Lily was able to claim her spot on the table. Thanks so much for sharing at AJJ and my theme hugs, Chrisx
