Hi Friends!
Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a good week. Not much happening here because yes I am still on crutches (three and a half months now!) and still finding it difficult to get around much or get anything done and don’t even get me started on the stairs. Oh how I wish we had a downstairs toilet because these stairs are the bane of my life at the moment! I am getting through a lot of books and crochet but not much else. It’s been very quite here due to the long weekend for the Spring Bank Holiday but as usual the weather was terrible – four days of mostly rain lol.
Today’s Art . . .
A birthday card for a friend, using some gel prints and gold paint.
Some new colours on my 366 day temperature blanket since we had a few warmer days. It was lovely to use some different colours for a change, not least because it symbolised the warmer temperatures.
And I’ve been working on a birthday present for a friend, a crocheted market bag, but I have again run out of yarn and can’t finish until it arrives! We have just had a four day weekend for the Spring Bank Holiday so nothing was shipping and I can only hope that it arrives before Saturday! I know this is yellow is so bright! It’s called Buttercup yellow and I’d say it was very true to the colour of Buttercups but I was thinking about summer and the possibility of sunshine, she might need her sunglasses when she opens the present lol.
In the meantime and just in case, I have started another project using this lovely cotton so at least I will have something to give her if the other yarn doesn’t arrive in time.
Currently Reading . . .
My current read/listen (book 74) is this one by Louise Penny. I read the first one back in February, bounced around various other authors and locations, and now I am back to continuing this series. This is book 4 in the series and I’m enjoying them. It is refreshing that the main detective doesn’t have all of the usual problems with drugs, alcohol, bad marriage, that detectives usually have!

Kitties and Flowers . . .
Miss Lily on my unused art table.
Miss Lily again, testing out my temperature blanket while I am trying to finish a row!
Miss Lily practicing some cat yoga.
I shared this in my last post but the colour is just so pretty I’m sharing it again.
The first poppy of the season has opened, a lovely salmon pink colour, and if you look very closely to the right, there is a Miss P photobomb! In the distance right side you can just see the pop of red that is another poppy, and unseen is another of these salmon pinks beside it. The garden is so overgrown and full of weeds because I can’t get out there and do any work but the pots on the patio take care of themselves mostly.
The strawberry patch is in full flower and some have tiny little green strawberries on them already. All they need now is some sunshine and warmth to ripen them up.
T Stands For . . .
Oh yes, I need a photo for Tea! I nearly forgot!
Let me know what you think in the comments. I will be slow getting to everyone but I will get there. I just can’t be at the computer for long. As always, thanks for reading and Happy T Day!
Ingredients
gel prints, gold acrylic,
Love the poppies, most of the ones in my garden are wild yellow ones! Love the kitty photo’s too. (I do miss my Mr Jinx so much!) and the cat mug! and of course your top picture!! So true!! Do we ever really grow up?? Happy very late T day ((Lyn))
I hope you’re off the crutches soon, those stairs are not good when you’re on crutches. What a beautiful page and wow, your crochet is amazing! Loved seeing the kitty cats, they looks so happy and your kitty mug is adorable too 🙂 .Take care and sending you happy and creative wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Love the kitties and the kitty cup. Pretty flowers too.
I hate you are on crutches and have to maneuver stairs too – sound dangerous and like some good balancing and exercising too. Stay safe.
Fab painting and yarn work – wow, you are talented. Great colors! Your friend is going to be thrilled with the bag and whatever else you make her.
Happy T-day and hugz
Just looking at you catty mug. It’s beautiful. Is kitty part of the mug or does she just hang there? That coffee looks very interesting, and it’s decaf too.
I hope you get the yellow yarn in time.
Gorgeous photos of Miss Lily! And the poppy too.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Hi Elle, hope you sooner or later get rid of those crutches., it must be very annoying for you. Miss Lily is always a star, I love her poses. Have fun with your crochet! Happy T Day, Valerie
Sorry you are still on crutches. You have been busy though. I really like your art piece and all that yarn work is amazing. Your garden looks fantastic too. Be well.
Oh, boy. When I broke my foot I had 3 weeks and that drove me nuts… 3 1/2 months and going on sounds terrible, especially with the toilet-situation!
4 days of rain on a holiday….
Love your bag! And Miss Lily is too cute and funny!
Poppies are one of my favs. I planted some but… nothing so far.
Cute mug. I have one with a Henry like that.
Happy T-Day! And… hope you can soon throw the clutches away!
Lovely art and such pretty colors in the blog post. The sections of the blanket look like the colors of the morning sky. Miss Lily is such a good helper. The market bag is so sunny, and I like how you’re a planner and planning another gift, just in case. I’ve only seen the red/orange poppies. the pink poppy is stunning. The kitties are so adorable and I want your kitty mug. Happy T Day
Your crochet is beautiful Elle. If you look on the bright side I think crochet and reading are good reasons to not be very mobile, but like you, I would hate to have to do the stairs to get to the bathroom. Nor being able to move or do a lot of art. And don’t you love Louise Penny? I love her books and have read them all. Now I want to pick up another one. And I love how Miss Lily was modeling her beauty for you in those photos.. I hope you’re having a lovely T day (well as lovely as not being able to move easily can be) T day. Take care. hugs-Erika
