Hi Friends!
Today I’m happy to say that More Than Words Challenge is back again for September! As per my previous posts in April, there are four Weekly challenges again this month, all held on Instagram, with daily inspiration from the Design Team. As I am a blogger, I am sharing it on my blog too.
Artstacks is sponsoring the challenges again and we have some cool Guest Designers too. This week is Riikka Kovasin (@paperiliitin) from Finland. Here’s a look at the Week 1 challenge which started on the 5th and ends on the 11th.
Today’s Art
This page already had a pink stencilled background and so on top of that I layered various circles for the circle prompt. These were made from various papers and also some from tissue paper which takes care of the tissue paper prompt. To finish off I added some lyrics from Careless Whispers by George Michael for the third prompt.
My four weekly DT projects are all contained in this concertina book that I made back in May during the Mixed Media Masters event. Here’s a look at the backgrounds in this book, since I am also sharing this page with Art Journal Journey’s September theme which is “Make Your Own Background” as chosen by this month’s host Mia. On the left is one side of the book and on the right, the other side. It’s this side that I am using for my background today. It was made with some stencils and pink crayons.

I hope you find the new MTW challenges interesting and that you can join us if you are on Instagram.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!

These circles are very cool, and I love those stamped vintage images. Plus I love the pink and the details on those circles. This looks like a great book. And this page is perfect for Mia’s challenge at AJJ. You must be excited that More Than Words is back. I hope all is well with you, and thanks for joining Mia’s AJJ challenge. hugs-Erika
