I hope you are all doing well. Not much change here. We were promised that this week would be a week of full sun, dry and a little cool, but instead we got a week of total cloud cover. It was so disappointing as I was looking forward to seeing the sun but at least it wasn’t windy or rainy, so you know, bright side. 🙂
My theme for this month is Steampunk, Halloween OR Steampunk Halloween.
Today’s Art . . .
My back continues to be an issue, so this is another page I made while standing at the kitchen counter. The background is various orange acrylics painted over the Amazon packaging page. My page is inspired by a jigsaw puzzle I saw recently of a witchy girl and ONE cat with this quote and I thought it was perfect! I did consider buying this jigsaw but there is no room on the walls to hang it up if I finished it and I don’t see a point of keeping it in a box. Not to mention the kittens would probably make if very difficult to actually DO a jigsaw!
After the paint dried, I sketched out the quote with a pencil but then when I tried to remove it with an eraser, it seemed to want to stay on the page, so you can still see bits of it around the black pen writing. Then I drew the witchy girl, and one cat heading into the forest, but then I decided that what the page really needed was MORE CATS.
I ended up with 19 cats on the page, that seems like a good number of cats lol. Then I drew some pumpkins before added all the leaves with a tiny leaf stamp and various Versafine Clair inks. I hope she can fit enough cat treats in her pumpkin for all those hungry cats!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading, Happy Journalling and Happy Halloween!

Such a cute double page for Halloween with all the cats and the witch with the text! Brilliant!
The way your two cats look amuses me, so sweet!
