I hope you are all doing well. Today I went food shopping and discovered Pukka tea was on a great deal – photo at the end of post! The weather can’t make its mind up what to do – yesterday heavy rain and wind, today frost and 2C, who knows what will happen tomorrow!

My theme for this month is Steampunk, Halloween OR Steampunk Halloween.
Today’s Art . . .

As I mentioned in the last post, this is another post featuring the digital images from Art Stacks.  This pack is one of their Artist Series and it is called Trick or Treat.  The artist is of course, Tamara Laporte (Willowing).  I printed the two cute witches on matte paper, and then printed the strip of pumpkins and all four black cats, on transparency again, like my previous page, so I could layer them on top and not have to fussy cut around a lot of white.

The pink and orange patterned paper you see in the background is also from that digital pack. I layered some white printer paper under it to hide the kraft underneath and also so I could draw black and white stripes on it.

I was in a supermarket today, I think I mentioned that in my last post, where Pukka tea is on special. As you can see, the price is indeed quite special – usually £4.75 but currently £3.25!  I bought multiple boxes!   What I didn’t know until I saw the sign on the right, is that Cadbury’s are celebrating 200 years (in 2024) I really must pay more attention but then I don’t eat chocolate very often lol.  Just think, 200 years of chocolate making, guaranteed never to go out of business!

‘Tis the season for making soup!  Actually I make soup all year round but maybe more people make soups in the Autumn/Winter period?  Nothing like a good hearty soup on a cold day!  On the left, pumpkin soup and on the right mushroom soup.  There is vegan cream on top and hemp seeds for extra protein and because I really like hemp seeds. 🙂

I have at least one more page to post for my theme, hopefully you can join me tomorrow on “the big day” Halloween! Remember to keep your pets inside because of fireworks!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading, Happy Journalling and Happy Halloween!

This is another super page Elle. Are those black cats on your page clear stickers? I like the addition of them. And some of those tea flavors in the photo look like something I’d like to try. Lately I’ve been into cinnamon tea which is a nice autumn flavor. And soup? I love soup. I just finished some bean and veggie soup I made last week. I love how you can make a pot and have it for several days. Thanks so much for hosting at AJJ. WE appreciate it. It’s been a fun month. hugs-Erika (PS-I also sent you an email yesterday so if you didn’t see it, this is just a heads up.)
Tamara’s images are beautiful. And you used theme in such a great way in your journal, Elle.
I haven’t tried to print on transparent paper, but I will definitely try it.
I really love your page your challenge at Art Journal Journey.
Hugs,
