Hi Friends and Happy November!

Wow so here we are in mid-November already – how did that happen?  Health update – still walking with the crutch, actually after EIGHT months of no appointments or contact with the hospital, I got an offer of an appointment later this month which unfortunately, I can’t attend, so I guess that puts me back at the end of the queue again. *shrug*  At this rate I will forget what it’s like to walk normally without a crutch!  I already feel like I am listing to the right!

This is my first published post for the month!  I really don’t know what has been going on with the time but I need more of it, more hours in the day maybe?   It is perhaps fitting then, that this month’s theme on Art Journal Journey is about time!  The lovely Wendy from Wendy’s Art and Craft Journal is hosting this month and her theme is entitled A Moment in Time.  (btw there are no numbers on the linkup this month – on my phone longer names are bleeding into other names so it’s hard to tell them apart)

Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is my calendar page for November – how useful considering we are halfway through the month!  LOL  Anyway, I’m just glad to have completed a page.  It is very simple this month, I used a photocopy of a suitable calendar page from an old calendar from 2016 that had the dates on the right days.  Then I used some tippex to hide all the not relevant info from those 2016 dates eg public holidays, phase of the moon etc, since this page was not from November but some other month in 2016.  Then I printed out two copies of this digital background I made a couple of years ago and used that to collage my background.  I accidentally printed it on two different types of paper which you can tell since the paper on the right is much more vibrant (the good paper) compared to the paper on the left (the wrong paper).  This was original one of four pages I created for a MTW challenge as a freebie and I find that I still use this one quite often.  It comes in handy for so many things. Once the background was stuck down, I added the old calendar page on top and outlined it with a thick black pen.  I used a scrap of book paper to write the month and year, but unfortunately I manded to smudge some of the letters in November.  I could have redone it but I liked how it turned out otherwise and decided to leave it as is.

Before I go, I just wanted to share some photos of Miss Lily’s new adventure playground! I had moved some furniture to another room which left the middle of this floor clear, and so I thought I’d spread out some of her new toys so they could work together to give her this fun tunnel system!  She loves it!  She is a small cat compared to the other two so these tunnels are just her size!  There are more pieces to add to it but I’m saving them for Christmas plus it really needs a bigger room so I don’t fall over it all!

Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading, Happy Journalling!
