New Halloween Stash and Spooky Shrink Plastic Experiments

I’m so excited to receive my Halloween stash order today! Not only all of this…

…but all of this too!  I really love the new collection and I had to order ASAP before it sold out everywhere, which is often the case with this stuff and by the time you get it, it’s too late for Halloween.

So that’s exciting, right?  I can’t wait to play with it all and conjure up some Halloween ideas.  I have about a week before I leave so I need to get cracking on the things that I need to take with me.

I’m starting with these Halloween elements made from shrink plastic and some Halloween dies – the skeleton from the new Ghoulish thinlits die, this older pumpkin bigz, the crazy cat dies, and the hat is a Tonic die.  I have black shrink plastic and clear shrink plastic.  I coloured the clear with orange alcohol marker for the pumpkins.

These little cats are from the Tim Holtz set with the witch (what is that one called again?) and the big cats are hand drawn and cut out with scissors.  I have pierced holes in some of the cats as I plan to make jewellery or charms with them.

Here are some of them after shrinking in the oven!  One of the pumpkins split 🙁 but the rest are good and I love how concentrated the orange is now that it has been shrunk!

This skeleton is the best!  I have put one of the unshrunk ones next to one that has been shrunk so you can see just how much they shrink.  Isn’t that so cool?
