Hi there Autumn-loving friends!  I love fall most of all – how about you?

It’s time for a new Mini Challenge over on More Than Words Challenge Blog and here is my DT inspiration for it this month.  I do love fall and for this challenge I decided to make a tag but to use leftover pieces of this masterboard I used back in May to make some positive reinforcement cards. These leftover strips have been waiting to be used on a project and today’s the day my friend!  I am also thinking of my kitty in the leaves and yes it did have some influence on the direction of this project lol.

I also used that amazon box in the above photo as the base for my tag, and glued the acrylic painted strips on top and then cut off the top corners and punched out a hole to make it more tag-like.  I do love a bit of recycling!  Speaking of which, when I was tidying up, I found all these little leaves and bits and pieces that were stored in a box since at least last Autumn.  They were all cut out on the big shot and coloured with Distress inks.  There are several dies from several different brands including Sizzix, MFT, Concord & 9th and Waffle Flower.

This confused-looking cat is one from the new Halloween Snarky Cats stamp set by Tim Holtz, which conveniently (finally) arrived on November 6th and completely missed Halloween and any chance that I had of using it for Halloween cards this year!  Ah well, it will be ready and waiting for next year but meanwhile, I thought this cat from the set would look funny falling into a big pile of leaves.

Not really any process photos, as the tag was simple and came together reasonably quickly as all the elements were already prepared.  I used black Stazon ink to stamp the cat onto my background and I stamped it a couple of times using the TH stamp platform.  The quote is stamped in the same black Stazon, and I stamped it onto a scrap of card that was painted with red Distress Ink (it’s a scrap from last year but I would guess it to be Candied Apple) and then I cut out the little banner ends by hand.

Here come the close ups…

I absolutely LOVE this tag. The background is such a lovely contrast to the warm colored leaves. Can I ask what die you used to cut them?
