Clean and Simple Holiday Cards – Online Card Classes

This week I am doing a class with Online Card Classes, this is the site run by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner together. This class is brand new and relevant to this time of the year so I thought I would try it and see if I like their format. Plus they have so much available on their youtube channels for free, I wondered if there would be anything new to see in the class! Anyway the new class is called “Clean and Simple Holiday Cards” here is the outline…

Monday, November 12, Day 1 – Inking
Tuesday, November 13, Day 2 – Die Cutting
Wednesday, November 14, Day 3 – Coloring
Thursday, November 15, Day 4 – Foiling & Glitter
Friday, November 16, Day 5 – Heat Embossing
Wednesday, November 21, Wrap-Up Day – Giveaway Winners, etc.

There will be over 20 videos of various lengths focusing on those techniques and ideas for Xmas cards. As well as Jennifer and Kristina, there will be “guest” artists:

So day one was Monday and it was focused on “inking” and I learned nothing new at all 🙁 Let me just say that this is not meant as a negative by any means, this is not an “advanced” class, it is targeted at all levels of cardmakers who want to make some CAS holiday cards and have some crafty fun.  Yesterday was die cutting, and again I know a lot about die cutting lol so…. but then after about 4 videos, there was one that I thought was pretty cool, and the cards were really nice too. I’m thinking I might use this technique to make some cards for my mother as I offered to make her some since she is not able to get out and buy her own xmas cards this year, due to on-going health problems. Of course when I made this suggestion to her I had no idea what I was going to make her lol so this has been very helpful.

Oh and I like that there is a student gallery, a forum to ask questions and giveaways at the end of it, and a 10% for Simonsaysstamp.com which I have already used lol
