Tis the Season to Wear Ugly Christmas Jumpers lol! I had first seen this die set used in this post on the Seven Hills Crafts blog that I just happened to see at exactly the right time as I was trying to think of some little Christmas ornaments I could make for my Secret Santa packages.
This die set cuts out the little jumper (sweater) fronts and backs, collars and cuffs and some Christmas motifs to decorate them with. This is a handy set as you can use it with card or with something like felt if you wanted to make ornaments, or you could use the felt on cards too, for a more textural card.
I didn’t do a step by step for this as it’s pretty straight forward and also I was on a time crunch to get these finished quickly and packed for posting overseas. After I die cut all the little bits and pieces in acrylic felt (eco-felt made from recycling plastic bottles!) I stitched them all together using DMC metallic floss for some extra sparkle. I decided to put gingerbread men on all six jumpers because last year, I made felt gingerbread men, so this would continue the theme.
I cut out plain backs for the jumpers but you could of course decorate the backs too.
I made some hanging loops out of gold and white baker’s twine and sandwiched them between the backs and fronts of the little jumpers, before gluing the jumpers together. And here are the finished jumpers ready for posting!
Supplies used FYI
