OK, another day and another project, one that I really have to get a wriggle on and finish as they all have to be posted ASAP, and most have to go overseas too!  So to go with the Xmas cards, the Ugly Jumper ornaments and a few other things, I really wanted to make these little desk calendars shown in this Concord and 9th video:

They sell printed calendars ready for stamping or they offer a free download for you to print at home.  This is what I did, however, be careful since the calendar is designed for Letter sized paper not A4 so you will have to make adjustments.  I bought the stamp and die set and the Easel die to make the little stand to sit the calendar on but I had some ideas for personalisation because they were all going out to my friends in the group.

concord and 9th all season turnabout stamp set calendarSo first of all,  some of the months will be the same for everyone – January, April, May July, October and November – but I wanted to personalise the birthday month for each person which meant that I had to be very careful and keep track of which months needed to be different. So above you  can see that the December month is the birthday month and the person is a dog lover so I used this cute stamp from Newton’s Nook with the dogs holding the banner, and I stamped Happy Birthday in the banner.  I also stamped a little pink heart on their actual birthday.

In this second set (we could start playing Spot the Difference honestly lol) the birthday month is in August and she is a cat lover, so she has this cute kitty also from Newton’s Nook.  I should also point out that I wanted to use the pieces from the All Season Turnabout and Dies as much as possible, but because of the personalisation I needed to space them out across each calendar. I wanted to have them positioned every three months, preferably March, June, September and December, but one of the birthdays is in December so that wasn’t possible.

For this set, the birthday is in – you guessed it – February  – but otherwise it’s the same with maybe a few colour variations. Here come the close-ups…

For the May month, I used a Mama Elephant stamp set called Blogging Buddies, it’s not new btw, and I stamped the little computer screen and keyboard, mouse, mail etc and on the screen I stamped “So happy we’re friends online and in real life”.  I love that! July uses the Hello Sunshine set from Altenew and I thought it might tempt the sun out since July is usually so wet here.

I love that Winter is Here stamp!  I had to use it for January.   April I saved for this reading stamp from Newton’s Nook.  All of the round floral diecuts are made using turnabouts, mostly All Season turnabout but also the Deck the Halls Turnabout for December.

Here’s a close up of the February birthday stamping, also for a cat loving friend.

Sorry for the shadows but I was crafting well into the wee small hours and it was dark.

And here are close-ups of the end of the year, one has a the December birthday variation, but there are also slight differences in the October one because I forgot to stamp the cat on one so didn’t leave enough space and had to stamp it on the bottom, and there are slight differences in the November backgrounds – love those Sweater Weather Kitties!

altenew friendly cat sticker and handmade envelope for calendar

I made this little envelope to pack it in, just for a little extra protection and to keep it all together inside the box.

coffee love notebook and personalised envelope

I stamped the names on the front with Concord and 9th Bold and Brushy stamp set and some Gold Delicata ink.  BTW in the background you can see another little gift, just a small customised kraft notebook with coffee motif stamps on it.

I can’t seem to find the photo of the calendar and easel standing up but it does show you in the video what it looks like.

And that’s the finished calendars ready for posting!
