Got a friend going off on a grand adventure so I made them a Bon Voyage card – do people still sell those? Make those? IDK but I think it’s a great idea and so I pulled out the Global Greetings set by Concord & 9th to make the card I had in my head. So before I pulled out the stamp set, in my head, I though that the dies also included one for the stand that the globe sits on. It doesn’t. My idea was to have that cut out and standing out from the card, but since that’s not available I ended up die cutting the globe x2, glued some gold thread between them and attached them to the card so that the globe “spins” around.
I concealed the gold thread with some blue paper on the inside of the card and stamped the little blue plane on one side of the globe.
Then I used this set from Newton’s Nook that was just a perfect fit with the theme of the card. It also works perfectly with the other item I will show you in just a minute. I highlighted the hearts with some nuvo drops and used wink of stella on some of the feather parts.
I did have plans for this World Map stamp from Altenew but in the end I had some trouble with it, so I ended up just using it on the envelope.
Oh and the other item I mentioned?
I saw this notebook and thought it was perfect, well nearly perfect – I heat embossed the white stag onto the front and then it was perfect.
