Sometimes we all need some extra stitching to hold us together right?  Well that’s what I was thinking as I stitched all these little butterflies on to the page. It’s also written on the page along with a few other thoughts, but you can’t read it as I wrote over it in my weird random scribble writing, but I know it’s there.

I’ve been working on this new project that is based on another project. and this is it finally complete! Consider this to be another iteration in the design process as I wasn’t 100% happy with the one I made for my journal, as it felt “unfinished” somehow, but then that’s what journals are for right?  Or at least they can be.

So I took the idea and made a new (and improved?) version of it with more of, well, everything.  There really is a lot of detail that the photos are not doing justice to.  The various layers – base layers and layers of butterflies – the decoration of the butterflies, the text and of course – ALL THAT STITCHING. But I think it really makes a difference to the end result and I am happy with it.

The question is now, what to do with this piece as it was intended for my journal but it’s too pretty to hide in a book.

Entered in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which this week is called – Stitch It.
