Hi Crafty Friends!

I have another Christmas card for you today, this time using some oldie but goodie Tim Holtz dies!  Unfortunately I did all of this tonight and so it was too dark to take good photos, but I really wanted to write this up tonight so here is the one photo that I thought was acceptable.  In the morning, I will get more uploaded in the daylight because even with camera adjustments I still just prefer good old daylight!

Photo taken at night

This card is made using a nice blue and green watercolour background from my stash, using hot press watercolour paper and Altenew watercolour paints.  Then I used the Tim Holtz Stamptember star stencil and Sparkling Snow embossing powder from Wow to make the starry heat embossed background.  I die cut the tree and the smallest star from the Tim Holtz Christmas Scribbles die set, and I couldn’t decide on the colour, so I cut multiples in gold, greenm, blue, silver and this white glitter.  So good news – I have lots of trees to use for other Christmas cards!  I did the same thing with the stars, but the white glitter was definitely my favourite, so then I also used it to cut the shadow background for the MERRY BRIGHT words and then cut the inner words in gold metallic card.  Then I glued everything in place and left it to dry.  I distressed and inked the edges of the watercolour paper using Ground Espresso Distress Archival and adhered the panel to a piece of Gina K Blue Lagoon cardstock – this is a big card, so basically one piece of cardstock folded in half!
And that was the card done and another Christmas card added to my stack ready for posting once I decide who I’m sending this one to.  I doubt I will be posting as many cards this year as in previous years and that makes me sad, but I after discovering the current price of stamps is now BONKERS I just can’t justify spending all that money just on stamps!

Edit Monday 9.12.19 – Daylight photos!

This is super. I adore that die and it looks so good on the blue frosty background. The white glitter behind the gold on the sentiment is an inspired idea. Thanks for joining Time Out
