Incendio The Candles – Mixed Media Birthday Card

Hi Crafty Friends!

Happy New Year! I made a Harry Potter inspired birthday card for a dear friend whose birthday is New Year’s Eve so I saved posting about it until today to make sure she had received it already and not have the surprise spoiled.

I ink blended a background using Distress Inks and then used some light grey ink to stamp all over the background using the sentiment stamps from the set and some second generation stamping.

While that was drying I made the card base and stamped the inside!

I had this Sizzix stag already cut out of cereal box cardboard, so I covered it in white embossing powder and heat embossed it, and then made the My Patronus is banner in the same way.

Then I assembed the card and voilà!  This is one of the bigger sized cards I make, approx A5, or one piece of cardstock folded in half.  I posted it overseas so I hope it survived the journey ok.
