Hi Friends!
Today I am sharing my DT project for the MTW Main Challenge for this month. I am on the AT/DT this year and our team is quite large so we have split the DT inspiration post into two posts otherwise it would make for one really long post! So one half of the team inspiration was on Jan 1st and the second half was yesterday on Jan 12th, and since I mine was shared yesterday, I can share my project with you today!
So you might have guessed that my highlight for this challenge was our trip to the theatre to see HAIR the Musical back in August. This was super awesome as it was the 50th Anniversary Tour, the first time this was performed was in New York in 1969! I have actually seen this show before, back in Melbourne, so I was keen to see it again as it is such a good show, and of course it has a serious message and food for thought under all that colour and music.
Here’s a look at the theatre, quite an old theatre and very beautiful.
We were so lucky to get front row seats! This is the curtain on the stage before the show started – I just loved it so much I had to take photos of it – so bright and colourful and rainbow!
I don’t have any process photos this time but it was quite a simple spread. I already had this face in my journal but just the outline from a stencil, so I used Paper Artsy Infusions to paint the sunset background and then added other stamps for good vibes and 1969, added a watercolour panel, die cut some frames from watercoloured paper, and then added the ticket details, a souvenir from the show and some song lyric journalling.
Here are the details for this month’s More Than Words main challenge:
