Hello everyone, hope you are having a good weekend so far. Batten down the hatches because we seem to be getting battered by a wild storm today!
Today I have two projects to share with you and this is the first one. It’s inspired by this month’s Kraft+ Challenge and I am really pleased to have gotten something done for it as it was beginning to look like I’d have no time to play!
I don’t have a step-by-step for this one as I did it quite quickly last night and finished in the dark, so no good photos were taken. These photos were taken this morning in the little daylight we had 🙁 My idea was to have two lists on “chalkboards” one would be the to-do list (and I need to do more on that list!) and the other would be the to-don’t list (and quite often the things on that list prevent me from doing the much more fun things on the first list!) so I need to do less on that list so I can have time to do more on the fun list lol.
I recycled an amazon box to make my kraft background and tried to make it look like a cork board. Then I took my chalkboard sheets and die cut some shapes including the big tags and all the little bits and pieces, arrows, hearts etc.
Before I stuck them down on the amazon kraft background, I used the chalk and some chalk paint to make chalky marks all over the background.
Then I stuck down my big tags and wrote out my lists.
Some little finishing touches were to add more random marks with some of the old chalk and to add some splatter effects using the chalkboard markers (these are the type of pens that people use to write on chalkboard menus).
This one is very important and makes it to the top of the to-do ist!
After I was done taking photos, I pinned it up on my monthly planner using a magnet, so it will be a visual reminder of what important things need to be done.
Let me know in the comments what you think. As always, thanks for reading!
