Hello friends, and TGIF!
Today has sucked quite frankly. Things are not so hot in the UK at the moment, even the Prime Minister has had enough lol. I was grocery shopping today and all the prices have gone up, due to oil prices, due to war, due to… and that’s for the food that is actually on the shelves. Some of the shelves are bare like old mother hubbard’s – even the Dreamies are out of stock till the end of the month! I could not come home without the Dreamies or the kitties would mutiny, so I had to go to another supermarket to track some down – phew! Then I come home to discover that our monthly energy bill is about to double, just because, who knows or cares, but no one is doubling anyone’s salary to cope with all these rising prices. So I shut myself away for a few hours and did some arting to take my mind off all of that. Here’s what I did…
This is my Day 38/61 ICAD for today’s prompt which was Turquoise. I really wanted to do a cat with turquoise eyes and the best way to do that is with pastel, so this took some time but it was all very enjoyable time away from the toils and trials of real life. This is my first face for Nicole’s Friday Face-off. I don’t do so many faces usually but since all my ICADs have cats on them this year, I have been doing a lot of cat faces. You can draw or paint as many cat faces as you want and I will love them all. You do have one that looks like my Fonzi, who passed away a year ago. I love cats and have had many in my life time … so bring it on, Elle. By the way, your human face is delightful as well. As for what you are suffering in your country … it is the same all over and no, they are not raising pay to compensate. I truly believe that many are raising prices because they can, not because they need to … greed is rampant in the US and probably everywhere. And the story here is that your Prime Minister is giving it up because the people have had enough. Wish we would have been able to do that with our last President. Our current president is fighting all the battles he was left with and so things just don’t get done. They say “Life is Good” … I say where is it good and I will go there 🙂 So enough about politics … I loved your post and all of your kitties. Be well, Elle …

I dreamed I had a cat. It was purring so loud I woke up for real. Sadly it was but a dream (my Hubby doesn´t like cats).
I guess the pain at rising prices is felt around the world right now.

Hi Elle!! ? Your lady face is beautiful and I love all the cats!!! The turquoise eyes are beautiful! The cat ice cream cone had me smiling!!! Sorry things suck over there, I’m sure we’re all going to have to deal with that sooner or later. Prices here are going up, gas has doubled…they better not up my energy bill, I won’t be able to afford it!

Elle, I am so sorry that your country is in the same sorts as mine. Between food and gas we are barely making it. You are right no one is raising pay to cope with it all. I don’t know if I can tell you it will get better any time soon but I love that you have put your mind to art with all of these wonderful cat creations.
