Hi Friends!

Hope your week has been good so far, TGIF!  Here is another page from my Wanderlust 2023 catch-up, this time from Week 3.

Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is one of the pages I made for Wanderlust.  This one is from Jeanne Oliver’s Week 3 class where we actually made cards and not a journal page, but after making the cards, I really felt like I wanted to make a page.

So this page is not part of a Wanderlust lesson but I wanted a page to go in my Wanderlust book.  Because I had done NONE of the classes so far this year, I had SIX classes to do in order to catch up.

This was the class that I started with because there was some preparation involved and some overnight drying time.

So I started with the cards, then left them while I worked on another week’s lesson, and then another lesson, circled back to the cards, and so on, until all six classes were completed, and then I decided I wanted a page to go with my cards.

These are my eight cards that I made for the lesson.  They are approx. 4 x 6 inches, like postcard size.  I did follow along with the lesson for the most part but then I went off in a different direction – for one thing, the lesson required the use of linseed oil which I don’t have in the house, and I don’t plan to buy any.  Also each of the teacher’s cards were completely different to each other but I used the same motifs in mine so they would be more of a set.

I am also linking this page to Erika’s theme over on Art Journal Journey this month as the page was made using a lot of pink pastel.

Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading!

Had to laugh when you didn’t know what to do with the cards or even how to start them. That’s why I don’t make cards. THese are lovely and you did a LOT of hand work on them. Thanks, too for sharing them with us at Art Journal Journey using Erika’s theme.

Funny how those German words pop up.
I asked our proofreader, why “Notfahrt” is used (in railway) and he said, they have no English word for that so they use this. OK. ..

I´d get some Wanderlust if it wasn´t that stormy!

Oh, this came out well. Very well. Wish I was that creative. Let me learn from you or just enjoy your work!

Not only is your pink journal page a beauty, but so are those cards. Funny, I made some cards this week too, but I’ve forgotten how to make a card I think. They just are kind of basic. I’m glad you chose pink because that reminds me of spring. And I love the words and the drips and everything else you added to it. Just lovely Elle. Happy rest of your Friday and weekend too. hugs-Erika
