Hello friends, Happy March!
Since it is the very first day of the month, I am excited to share my DT inspiration project for March at More Than Words with you.
The challenge this month is as follows:
This was the first inspiration that popped into my head, and so I went with it to see how it would turn out. I started my page with some collage and then covered it with pastel and gesso.
When everything was dry, I started to create my scene on top using mostly gouache and some Posca acrylic pens.
Everything is painted with gouache and just the finer details added using pens.
I typed this phrase up on the computer and printed it off. These kitties look quite alarmed lol.
Our living room looks nothing like this scene except for the three cats hahaha. I do quite fancy a sofa that colour of green though.
I’m also linking up my page to Art Journal Journey where the theme this month is Anything Goes!
As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients

Love the fun colors, that great couch and all the kitties. This is such a delightful journal page, Elle. I know that saying is reflective of your home. I wish my husband wasn’t alergic as I love kitties so much. Hugz
What a brilliant page for Valerie’s ‘Anything Goes’ theme at AJJ. I love the cat sprawled on the back of the sofa best of all. It’s a fabulous homely scene that I would love to live in, Hugs,
I love the kitty lounging on the back of the couch. I can image that is your first thought of home. This is a fun piece Elle. I shall have to think of home and make a page to join in. Thanks for sharing your page for Valerie’s challenge at AJJ. Anything goes is the best, is t it? Happy March to you also. Hugs Erika
This is a fabulous and fun painting, these cats have their own paradise! Thanks so much for linking to my challenge at AJJ, much appreciated! Hugs, Valerie
This scene has stolen my heart. It is a perfect home, Elle. I love the painting over the couch and the large pots of plants. I love the couch and the amazing rug. I adore the background and the balls of yarn. But most of all, I adore those black cats!!! Thanks for joining us and sharing this at Art Journal Journey using Valerie’s theme. BTW, I have NEVER used gouache. Can’t even spell it correctly (grin).
