Hi Friends!
Hope you are all doing well and are full of the festive spirit. I am trying to be. Apart from the knee thing, both kittens have been vomiting for a couple of days. I’ve had to remove all the Christmas presents from under the tree just in case and also remove the small fiber optic tree as Mr G is determined to chew on the fiber optics! Christmas just may have to be postponed at this rate! Bah humbug indeed. Speaking of which, I really enjoyed this book, which I recently finished. I’ve read all of her books and liked them all. Something I like to do in December is read some Christmas or winter themed books. It’s been a very good year for reading overall. I will have to update my list but it is at over 200 books so far for this year!

And speaking of the Christmas tree, I have been unable to find the lights for the tree, so I had to improvise with these purple skull lights from Halloween…
I don’t know what happened to the lights, everything was packed away in two big plastic tubs after last Christmas but the lights are AWOL. I refuse to buy new lights because the old lights HAVE to be somewhere in the house, so we have these – gotta say, I am really loving the purple and you don’t really notice what they are unless you are close to the tree lol.
Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is a look at my Christmas cards for 2025, or should I say my Nollaig Chridheil cards? Funny story, I was thinking about getting a Christmas jumper this year and actually saw someone wearing one with Nollaig Chridheil on it which is Scots Gaelic for Merry Christmas or Happy Christmas. I didn’t end up getting a jumper but I did end up making some Nollaig Chridheil cards!

I made some master boards for the above collaged cards and then chopped them down to size. These particular cards are 5 x 7 and contain no stamping, stencilling or diecutting in the designs. I wanted something less work and stressful this year. The sentiments were typed up and printed out on some good paper, and then I did some machine stitching on the fronts. The stitching was more fun than stress though.
The above cards and the cards in the first photo are smaller din A6 cards and they do have some stamping which I actually did prior to the making the collaged cards, and I didn’t love the stamping, but then when I put them against these green card bases and added the stitching and sentiments, they started to grow on me. This year I sent 22 cards in total, and have received 12 back, a little sad, how few people are sending cards these days, although the postage is eye-watering and I’m sure has something to do with it!
T Stands For Kitty Cat Cafe
As I mentioned last Tuesday, I loved my first visit to the Cat Cafe so much, I had to go back for another visit last week. When I sat down, my little friend Phoebe, from last week, spotted me and came over to say hello.

And she popped up for a cuddle while i had my coffee.

After she left and I’d had my coffee, I took more photos of more cats…
The cafe is opposite the harbour so there are plenty of seabirds for the cats to watch.

Or some birds to watch from the back window, from the comfort of a nice kitty sofa.
A few more kitties I didn’t show you last week…

And finally, I had a visit from this little cold kitty…
These Sphynx cats are notorious heatseekers, understandable due to the lack of any hair on their little bodies – including whiskers!. This little guy was wearing a nice orange jumper but he still wanted to curl up under my arm, inside my jacket for some heat. He was there for a good half hour before I had to leave. I felt really bad about that and would have happily smuggled him home, although he would not like my cold house! 🙁
About that coffee I mentioned earlier, here it is – decaf soy latte and a little millionaire shortbread.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!

T Stands For – Cat Cafe 2

Such beautiful Christmas cards – thank you for mine! What a lovely cafe with all those beautiful cats – amazing 🙂 . Wishing you a magical and happy Christmas time! Hugs, Jo x
Sweet kitties. I think it would be hard to leave the cafe. Mmm, Millionaire Shortbread. Aw, the Barista gave you a heart on your latte. Your cards are beautiful Happy T Day and Merry Christmas.
Your photos are beautiful and lovely creations. I am a huge cat ? ? ???? lover.
The cats are gorgeous and absolutely precious ?
Warm greetings and Merry Christmas from a retired lady living in Montreal, Canada ?? ? ??
We have a couple of cat cafes here in Montreal as well ?
Your Christmas tree with the purple skull lights is hilarious, it gave me a good laugh. I love it when “problems” get solved in such a creative way. Your Christmas cards are beautiful, but I hadn’t expected anything other. A cat café – oh my gosh, I would love that. I would probably be there all the time.
Have a Merry Christmas, Ella – or Nollaig Chridheil.
Beautiful artwork, and fun photos of the kitties. I am loving the thought of millionaire shortbread.! Happy T Day and Merry Christmas.
Funny that book came up for you and not for me. So I tried it again and it came up. Sometimes Amazon’s search engine acts so weird. Thanks fro looking it up. 🙂 I’ve added it to my wish list, and I see she has a couple of these mysteries that I can get on my Kindle. Happy Christmas again.
Happy T day Elle. That book sounds super. I looked on Amazon but they don’t seem to see it in the US, at least not yet. But I did find a listing for the Humbug Murders by LJ Oliver so that go added to my list. 🙂 And nice skull lights. I haven’t been able to find a bag of Christmas linens so maybe the same gremlin who took your lights and put them someplace you couldn’t find them did the same thing to my linens. Ha ha. It’s great to see all your cards, and the kitties too. Are those kitties up for adoption? I hope you have a fabulous Christmas holiday and the cats don’t get sick anymore either- or eat your tree. 🙂 Hugs-Erika
