Tis the season of family birthdays around here so here’s a quick one…

40th birthday card

The inside – and where is the actual finished card?  I guess I forgot to snap a pic, so all we have are these in progress photos, but it would be remiss of me not to include a post about this birthday. So what we have is a black card base with a window cut out of the front, so I could have a peek through to the inside, where I have attached the stamped and coloured girlfriends to a white diecut card circle.  On the outside I used the wineglass stamps from the same set, and heat embossed them in silver. This stamp set was free with a card magazine a few weeks ago and I wanted it specifically for this card.  Also on the outside I diecut the sentiment letters from the Tim Holtz Marquee alphabet dies in silver card and attached them to the card. I also added some dots around the window with a Versamark pen and the same silver embossing powder.  Contrary to what is shown in the unfinished card, I did finish off a nice even amount of silver dots around the window edge!

Supplies used FYI:
Free stamp set from magazine
Tonic nested circles die
Tim Holtz Marquee Alphabet dies
Silver embossing powder
White cardstock from stash
A4 Black 250gsm cardstock
Double Sided Adhesive
