Under the Cherry Blossom Sympathy Card

I needed a sympathy card x 2 to send to someone dear and this is what I decided to make. It’s never nice to need this type of card so I will just put the details below and say no more for now.

I decided to heat emboss the Cherry Blossom branches and flowers on to black card that I had first dusted with cornflour.  I stamped the gold branches first, then heat set them, then stamped the flowers and repeated the process.  They look very messy atm but it is all the cornflour and that gets brushed off later.

Then I heat embossed the sentiment in white.  Once that was all done, I attached the black card to a white card base, and stamped the sentiment on the inside.

I have to apologise for the poor quality of these photos as I had to take them at night and the lighting was appalling. I tried to help them in photoshop but not very well.  The cards looked much better in RL.
