So a few days ago I showed you some of my new Halloween stash… which included these dies below
I only have a few days left before I leave so it was well overdue for me to make the actual treat bags using that cute little treat bag die you can see in the top right corner. But do you know how impossible it was to find any Halloween treats to put in them? TOTALLY impossible! It’s the end of September and all that was in the shops was CHRISTMAS stuff, nothing at all for Halloween, which btw does fall before Christmas. I asked around and they looked at me like I was crazy – ME! So in the end I had to settle for some mini bags of Haribo and nothing about them said Halloween to me! :/
Anyway, moving on…
I don’t actually have a lot of photos of this project as I was rushing to get the actual treat bags finished in time but I do have some 🙂 Here’s one of the treat bag cut out and then I used one of the little frame dies to cut out this Jack O’Lantern from one side. Also in this photo is this great purple and lime stencilled background using the new Halloween Shifter Stencils from Tim Holtz.
Here it is with the stencilled background and some other distressing and random decoration, including Nuvo Drops, but given the lateness of the hour and how long these took to dry, that was not the best idea to use them for this project!
I cut out some more treat bags with different paper, and used this Halloween stamp set to decorate them (stamp set shown on bottom left of top pic).
Some of these little bags also have the framed cutouts on the back, this time with the bats.
And here are the finished bags – complete with Haribo!
To make up for the lack of Halloween treats, I gift wrapped everything, because that will make up for lack of treats, right?
