Yay! It’s my favourite time of the year (almost) and so it’s time to make the next set of Halloween cards.  You can see the first set of cards by clicking here to see Halloween Shaker Cards.

There were so many fun products in my hands, I just really wanted to use them all, so in the end I made three different types of Halloween card, and this post is about the second card design.

ZOMBIES!!!

The first thing to do was stamp out a whole lot of zombies from the Tim Holtz Zombies set and colour them in.  I took my time doing this as it’s fun and relaxing and I tried to make them all a bit different.  I also stamped out the pumpkins from the Pumpkinhead stamp set and coloured them in too.  Sadly I don’t have any dies for these, so it was a whole lot of fussy cutting after that.  I was also trying out the new Sizzix 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder Lumber also by Tim Holtz and trying to see how I could put them together.  I think I’ve been watching way too much Walking Dead as I could see zombies appearing from all manner of things and popping through holes etc.

I also tried the zombies poking through this older Claw Marks thinlits die but it wasn’t working for me.

Then I glued all the zombies and pumpkins in place and added the broomsticks, hats and candy buckets.  I finished the zombies and pumpkins off with nuvo drops and a black glaze pen and the Halloween zombie cards were finished!

Here’s what was used FYI

Tim Holtz Halloween stamp – Pumpkinhead
