So I also needed some quick cards that were also cool but weren’t multi-step, multi-process, cards, so I came up with these.  OK so they are still a wee bit multi-step but still super quick to do… unless you decide to hand paint the finishing touches with the metallic ink of course LOL

I just love love love this stamp set with matching die from Concord & 9th. I’ll link to some projects showing the die later btw.  First of all I worked out how many of these cards I would need and decided on 11.  then I cut my cardstock in half – this is A4 size so cut it in half so you have 2 x A5 pieces, then fold them in half to get 2 x A6 cards per A4 piece.  Then I stamped the main part of the ornament stamp with Gina K ink in Turquoise Sea (one of my favourites) using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform.  Side note:  you know I bought one of these well over a year ago and returned it deciding that I didn’t really want to make cards in bulk haha.  Then a few months later I bought one again and here I am making cards in bulk!  Who knew!ornamental stamp

OK, so this is nice, white card and turquoise ink but I really wanted some kind of glitter or shine, so I decided to stamp the middle of the ornament with the Delicata Celestial Copper ink – perfect!

So far so good, but I thought it still needed some finishing touches.  The top of the ornament (which would normally be some kind of metal if it was a real ornament) needed something so I decided to grab a paintbrush and use the ink leftover on the stamp to just paint in some metallic highlights on the top of the ornament and then really warmed up to the idea, so I went around the turquoise stamping and touched up all the berries with the copper ink.  Much better.

Here’s a closer look…

may your merry be very stampOh and the insides!  I used the “May your Merry be Very” sentiment from the Season’s Greetings stamp set.  This is another well used set as it has so many gorgeous Christmas sentiments that are so varied in style.

So that was that, thank goodness!  I was so relieved to have a nice supply of cards or a supply of nice cards, or both haha, so I could sit down and write them out, address them, stamp them and get them posted ASAP before it got any later.

Here’s what was used in the card FYI
