March and April are always busy months for birthdays and keep me on my toes as I said, and now we are on the next birthday already! This card is the first one I have made using the new Fringe Frenzy kit not that there is any “fringe” present on this particular card. It also features an older die set from Concord & 9th called Hooray and an older Turnabout set called Sunshine Turnabout. I do like to combine things 🙂
OK so for this one, I used the Sunshine Turnabout on white card, using Gina K Inks. Then I used some of the small words from the Hooray stamp set to stamp in between the “rays”. Then I cut the rosette from the Hooray dies, in both gold and a pink confetti cardstock from my stash. I played around with various ideas and combinations before finally settling on the one above, which has a white centre with gold edge cut from the Hooray dies, and then I took the large YAY and the Hip Hip Hooray from the Fringe Frenzy Kit and cut them in gold cardstock and placed them on top of the sunrays and and pink card.
I used the Just for You and It’s your Day sentiments from the Fringe Frenzy Kit to stamp the inside of the card. I also used them to stamp some gift tags for the gifts.
Finally I used the little wooden stamp image from the Stamping Village stamp set to stamp the back of the card.
Due to the size of my card, I also had to make a matching envelope for it. The matching envelope was made with some 12 inch paper that I have had forever, and it comes in really handy for making these big envelopes for these bigger size cards with the Envelope Punch.
And here is the finished card!
