You know, this might sound like a weird thing to say but I’m rarely 100% happy with the galaxy backgrounds I create but that doesn’t stop me making them because 1. I LOVE making them and 2. despite how they look initially, they tend to improve with age and grow on me lol. So if you find yourself with some free time and nothing specific you wanted to do, try doing some of these – it’s a lot of fun!
So I found myself wanting to create something but not having any definite project to work on, so I decided to make more galaxy backgrounds – practice makes perfect after all haha.
This is hot press watercolour paper, A4 size, so I cut some of them into A5 and some of those into A6, so I ended up with three different sizes to work on.
I used a size 8 round brush and my Altenew Watercolor 36 pan set, and the gold watercolour paint from my Starry Gansai Tambi set. I did get a little (just a little ???) carried away with the gold paint haha but it did spread out a bit more than I expected. I spent a few hours painting these while listening to an audiobook and left them to dry overnight. No plans for them at the moment, but I will add them to my stash with the others!
