I finally caved and bought this new Hugs and Wildflower stamp and die set from Gina K Designs. I’ve been looking at it for a while and telling myself I didn’t want or need it but the more I looked at it on Youtube the more I started to talk myself into it.  This is a new set designed by Lisa Hetrick and I loved her intro video and examples, so I ended up ordering it.

It arrived today with some Wild Dandelion cardstock that I also tried to convince myself that I didn’t need and failed lol.  It gets the kitten seal of approval though, make some arty stuff with this mama and let’s get inky!

I used the smallest flower and leaf images from the stamp set and some Gina K inks – fun fact I only used two colours for the flowers and leaves but I used second and third generation stamping to achieve the lighter colours.  Then I used chocolate brown ink to stamp hugs in the middle, well almost the middle.

Here’s another one using the hugs stamp in Wild Lilac and Passionate Pink ink with second and third generation stamping again.

Another two examples using the hugs stamp and the tiny little heart stamp attached to the “h” and a few more of the flower stamps in the set.

I really love this sentiment stamp and especially all the little dots that look like paint spray.  More stamping, second and third generation and using a few different ink colours together.

I made a few more backgrounds using the Wildflowers sentiment again and the same stamping techniques and a few different ink colour combinations.  Btw all of these cards are A6 size, just to give an idea of size.

And that’s the finished cards – seven in total – and a couple of hours of stamping fun!  I haven’t any definite plans for these yet but I am thinking they would make a nice set of notecards or thank you cards?
