Day 10 – Pigment Inks. Had fun playing with mostly Versafine Clair inks, some manilla tags and this great background stamp today.
In the beginning…
Started by applying some of the Versafine Clair ink pads directly onto the gelli plate and using the brayer to spread them out across the plate. You can still see some of my face drawing still on the plate from the previous prompt!
I used a 6 inch square background stamp from my stash and stamped across the plate, lifting and transferring the inks. The first pull looked like this…
How awesome is that?
I got two full backgrounds – blue on the left, purple on the right – before applying more paint and stamping again, to get these green and yellow tags.
And these tags. I also got a darker green version but I can’t find the photo. Then I changed inks and used these rainbow colours with the same stamp.
Then I changed inks again, and used gold, copper and rose gold metallic inks to create these tags. They really are quite wonderful but the photo is not showing the metallic shine.
