Hi Crafty Friends!

Tonight I am sharing something I started making last week but only just managed to finish and photograph it today – and just before it got dark – which btw is 4pm!!!!!   This is for my Kraft+ submission for their November challenge and it was all about flowers so I had to enter!

I want to make beautiful things even if nobody cares

Here’s a close up of the quote

and really that just about sums up my entire approach to arts and crafts.  I just want to make things, hopefully beautiful, and I don’t care if anyone cares or not.  I just like making the things.  My sister on the other hand, likes to buy beautiful things, from shops, lol, and has no interest in making them herself, but I have always felt that urge to create something from scratch, so this quote is perfect for me.

I also like to make flowers and had a few stashed away in this box, just itching to be used in a project
I gathered my supplies together, kraft cardstock, and some scrapbook papers
I used this Kraft ink from Gina K and this Finnabair stencil to make some tone on tone pattern on the kraft cardstock. It’s still wet in the photo, it fades a little when dry
Playing around with potential layout options and elements
I added some paint splatters in white, pink and gold, before gluing down the papers. On the right you can see a couple of hand painted flowers drying
And here is the finished project!

I had planned to do some watercolour flower painting for this challenge (maybe even some Aussie natives!) but we are in the middle of a “cold snap” and it’s currently -3C and I can’t feel the ends of my fingers so dexterity with a paintbrush is not happening lol.

I am entering this card in Kraft+ November Challenge which is held on their Facebook page. This month the inspiration photo is:
