Hello again, yes, I’m back with another Valentine’s inspired card but very different from the previous one!

Origin of the Idea and Process

I fell in love with this Aqua Flora paper collection from 13 Arts and really wanted to fussy cut this large floral image from it and put it on a really big card! So that’s what I did!

For my card background, I used another paper from that collection, which you can see on the right.  I was working on two different cards at the same time, so the paper on the left is for the other card, so pretend you don’t notice that one for now 🙂

After the floral was fussy cut, I used my polychromos to add some highlights and then covered it with glossy accents to give it that shine.

Once everything was dry, I attached thin gauge jewellery wire to the back side with hot glue.  This was for two reasons – some parts were very delicate and I was worried they would rip so the wire would help strengthen them, and I wanted to be able to manipulate the shape of the floral cluster once it was on the card, so I needed the wire for that.

I added the white lacy die cuts and the white lace to the card, before attaching the floral cluster using foam tape so that it stood out from the card and added dimension.  Then I added the LOVE YOUR BEAUTY die cuts that were leftover from another project.

And that was another Valentine’s card completed!
