Today’s Art . . .
For today’s art I am sharing the page for Day 27 of my #eotcartjournalaugust prompt which was NOMAD

Yes this did take a strange turn from nomad to space cowboy didn’t it lol. But here’s what happened. I was making a list of all the places I have lived and was going to use myself as the nomad example because I have lived in many places.
Also I had this orange page that I needed to do something with, and that orange colour made me start thinking about The Martian (as I often do since it’s one of my favourite books/movies) and how poor old Mark reminded me of a lone nomad wandering across the deserts of Mars.
As soon as I started thinking that way, my other idea went out the window, and one thing led to another and here we are with a Martian/Mars inspired page complete with shiny silver duct tape! Ever used duct tape on a journal page? Duct tape fixes EVERYTHING lol.
So where’s the nomad? Well the NOMAD is on that spacecraft currently orbiting Mars. Nadir and Occultation for MArs Discovery (NOMAD) is a 3-channel spectrometer on board the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) launched in 2016 and is legit orbiting Mars searching for signs of life!
The reason this page was so orange is because I painted the double page orange when I did Day 23, so I just made this side even more orange and then added some very dark blue around the edges. So while this might be in the running for the geekiest page I’ve ever done, it’s definitely the MOST orange. Now go watch/read The Martian and thank me later 🙂
