Hello friends!

Happy Friday!  I have a quick post today to share this journal page I finished last night.  I actually did the drawing over a week ago, set it aside and then forgot all about it!  I painted it last night before I went to bed.

Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is (of course) another cat page I made for Neet’s theme this month on Art Journal Journey. I promise I have another page in the works that features NOT A CAT but another animal that I often see out and about at night.  I started this page by drawing the cat on the right, trying to practice cats from different angles, so this one is looking over her shoulder.

But then what to do with the rest of the page?  LOL I thought about it for a while and then decided to add this little guy, and once I did, I realised he was in love with the pretty orange kitty but couldn’t bring himself to tell her, so he just admires her from afar.

Maybe one day he will get up the courage to tell her but for now, he just loves her from afar.

Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading!

Hi Elle, your cat love story page is adorable and tells a lovely little story! It even reminds me a bit of our two cats (at least the way it used to be), only the coloring is exactly the opposite. Our cat Maxwell (who unfortunately died last year at the age of 17) was a beautiful red boy and he would have liked to be close to our black cat Nina. But Nina (now 19 years old and unfortunately blind and no longer healthy) didn’t want that, mostly she hissed at him and slapped him in the face, and so he could only adore her from afar…
All the best,
Traude

This page made me smile Neet. It is very fun and clever too. I love how you’ve been sticking with cats too. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ for Neet’s challenge. And I’m glad you found it and decided to finish it. Happy rest of what’s left to your weekend. hugs-Erika

Awwwwww, Elle! What a beautiful page and fun page! I hope that the cat looking over his shoulder gets the courage to tell the pretty orange cat how he feels! I just love the emotion your creation emits! And thank you so much for your wonderful visit to my blog, too. Have a great day! Hugs, Sharon

Aaw, the little guy on the left has that look in his eye. You have captured it perfectly. He really does look to be in love with the orange cat. I love how she is posing so coyly with her head turned, looking over her shoulder. I wonder if she knows she has a secret admirer?
Thanks for another great page, the words say it all.
Hugs Neet xx
